But wait, there's more! You can also catch Michelle performing improv at the Improv Olympic weekly. “Comedy is my first love” says Ms. Tolan. “I was never very popular in school and always felt like a lanky ugly duckling. I’m a late bloomer. I have now grown into my body and personality and have the confidence to say what’s on my mind. And what’s on my mind is usually raunchy toilet humor!” There are two sides to Michelle. She enjoys walking the red carpet at Hollywood events and dressing to the nines, but also has a very earthy side to her. She escapes the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles by going to her family’s ranch in Colorado and attending the Burning Man festival each year, where she hula-hoops and plays African Drums. “When I realized I had a talent for percussion it was life-changing. Being part Sioux Indian it makes me feel closer to my ancestors. It’s my meditation. It’s the only thing that really relaxes me.” We're happy this multi-talented beauty has found an outlet to release her boundless energy. Anyone who knows Michelle knows she is always happy and bouncy, no matter what is going on in her life. | MICHELLE TOLAN - lovely LAdy of LA Michelle, our belle, emanates the Los Angeles lifestyle. Besides being lovely, she is also a talented actress, writer and producer, as well as an event planner and celebrity band promoter. Michelle loves the stage and works regularly at her theatre company, Write-Act Repertory. You may have seen her on the show T.V. Candy hosted by Melissa Rivers. MT also shot a film with William H. Macy and Christian Slater, coming in 2007. Michelle has also won several awards as a producer, having produced the cult classic “Polyamouros” among others. (Catch breath here.) More, you ask? Okay: our October LLOTM is writing a one-woman show entitled “You Ruined My Life” that will premiere in Hollywood soon, and has finished the screenplay Valley Moms which she is shopping around and wishes to produce and star in. Michelle also enjoys giving back, by volunteering for many dog charities and as a Tony Robbins crew member. “One of the best nights ever was when me and my dog Bongo walked the red carpet together to help dogs in need. I was even O.K. with the fact that Bongo got more press coverage than I did. Maybe I’ll be a stage mom when I retire!” We at The LA Report wish the lovely Miss Michelle good luck with all of her endeavors and look forward to seeing much more of her in the future. |
